On September 13, 22-year-old Jina “Mahsa” Amini was arrested by Iran’s morality police and severely beaten for “improperly” wearing her hijab.
Mahsa fell into a coma and three days later, while still in police custody, died. 
For the past several months,  protests have spread across Iran and the protesters have been met with brutal attacks from the Islamic Republic of Iran  including arrest, imprisonment, torture and executions .
